What Lutherans Believe
Through his ministry, death and resurrection, Christ has saved us from "sin, death, and the power of the
devil." God's gift of faith in Christ's saving power makes that saving power effective for us. In joy
and freedom, we respond to God's grace with praise and thankful service.
Fellowship and Service
- Members of St. Luke live out their faith by showing love for each other and for those in need, near and far.
- Fellowship and recreation events, such as tureen dinners, trips, and outings, strengthen our unity
with Christ.
- Service to others, such as helping with
Habitat for Humanity,
the Pre-School at St. Luke, our Parish Visitors Corps, our active involvement in the
United Churches of Lycoming County and Lutheran Shared Ministry; Scouting programs, financial assistance to
nonprofit social causes, and more, express our faith in action.
- For our children we seek to nurture their faith with special activities, choirs, camps, and more.
