Meet Our Pastors

Pastors Eric & Anke Deibler
Pastors Eric and Anke Deibler

The Congregation at St. Luke was doubly blessed during the 2002 advent season. In addition to the celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, they also had joy in the celebration of their new co-pastors, the Reverend Anke Deibler and the Reverend Eric Deibler.

The Deiblers come to St. Luke from the Nittany Valley, Sugar Valley Lutheran Parish, where they had served as co-pastors since 1994. Pastor Anke was born and raised in Germany. She received her Master of Divinity from Christian-Albrecht Universitaet, Kiel, Germany in 1991. She participated in an exchange program with the Lutheran Theological Seminary Gettysburg and received her Masters of Arts in Religion in 1989. Pastor Eric is a Pennsylvania native growing up in Selinsgrove. He received his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary Gettysburg in 1989 and performed postgraduate work in Theology at Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich, Germany.

They accepted the call at St. Luke "with the feeling that God is leading us to a new challenge" and had a "real sense of joy and enthusiasm" with preaching God's word to the community and the congregation at St. Luke.

The Deiblers have three daughters, Hannah, Julia and Nora and reside in South Williamsport.

Installation Service was presided by Bishop A. Donald Main and Dean Roy D. Meyer on Sunday, December 29, 2002.
